This Festive Drink – How to Make It
WHere is a simplified interpretation of a beverage from a new cocktail list. It's a large-volume prepared mix which is loaded with flavours of a festive period, rendering it excellent for hosting a celebration. Save the extra cordial to use in breakfast cocktails, puddings, or for additional servings of the drink.

Serves 10 people
To make the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Cocktail (makes 850ml, serving 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
Whole cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Method
Making the Cordial: Combine all the components into a pan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Then, take off the burner and let it to reach room temperature completely. Transfer into a sealable bottle, cap it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, it can be stored for up to one month.
For the Premix: Mix the specified liquids into a sizeable container, let it rest for 60 minutes, then pass it through , ideally through muslin, to ensure it's perfectly clear.
To serve: Pour 85ml from the cocktail base into your mixing glass filled with ice, gently stirring gently for one minute until cold. Filter to a chilled martini glass or equivalent, decorate with a few cranberries and finish by giving it a light spray of mandarin oil over the drink.
